Zambia’s South Luangwa National Park

South Luangwa, with its astonishing concentration of wildlife, and minimal tourist impact, is a haven for wildlife enthusiasts, one of the world’s last unspoilt wildernesses, and possibly the finest wildlife sanctuary in Africa.


Day 1

  • Fly into Mfuwe from Lusaka or Lilongwe, and transfer to a lodge on the southern side of the Park. e.g. Puku Ridge, Wildlife Camp or Chichele Lodge.
  • Day 2

  • Explore the southern part of the Park from your camp/lodge.
  • Day 3 to 5

  • Transfer to a lodge near the centre of the park like Luangwa River Camp.
  • Day 6 to 8

  • Transfer to Lion Camp in the Northern part of the Park for 2 or 3 nights
  • Day 9

  • Return to Mfuwe Airport to fly out and connect with other flights.
